CON(m)passion

As i was watching a video on Youtube, I heard a faint call coming from outside of the house. I could barely hear it as my ears were blasted with mini speakers, it's surprising that I could even pick the voice up. It pissed me off that there are others in the house clearly heard it before me but choose to ignore it (That's another issue altogether).

So i went out and checked who might that be seeking attention of the people inside.

There was a man, mid-30s with an arm-sling on his right hand with a sad face. He starts mumbling and crying as soon as he saw me. And handed out his wife's IC together with his as I approach the gate.

I kept quiet and just listening to him for a few minutes before picking the IC's from his hand.

I believe that I'm a skeptic. Instead of just giving him what he wanted or just tell him off to make him leave, I gave him a chance to talk, to REALLY talk. I asked him details just to give myself a baseline of how truthful or how good of a con is he.

Throughout the conversation, his eyes kept giving me strong eye contact which uncharacteristic to people asking for help. Those who keep strong eye contact in a conversation normally are those who are learning to con convincingly. The only time he glanced someplace else was when he's trying to figure out what to say.

Although I questioned his method strongly and reluctant to hand him any assistant of which he asked for, I gave him the benefit of doubt.

I wish I could say more of this experience, my lack of command of the language rule over me.

Oh, by the way, I got questions about who was that outside form those who's infront o the TV, I choose to ignore them like how they ignore the person outside.
